Community Walk and Roll for Mental Health Awareness is a Success!

Mid-Michigan Industries Inc., along with Community Mental Health for Central Michigan would like to thank the community for the outstanding support of the 12th Annual Community Walk & Roll for Mental Health Awareness held on Saturday May 22nd. Over 200 people registered for this year's event that was held to promote Mental Health Awareness throughout the community.

The walk began at Mill Pond Park with a 1-mile and a 2-mile course marked out, but people were encouraged to participate at their own pace. After the walk door prizes from many community sponsors were given away and refreshments were enjoyed by all. This year MMI community walk was sponsored by; Mt. Pleasant Parks and Recreation, LaBelle Management, JETS Pizza, Buccilli's Pizza, Ruckle's Pier, Family Video, Chippewa River Outfitters, Four Season's Floral, Doozies, Bucks Run, Clark Funeral Home and Glen's of Clare . Even with the weather being hazy, it did not hinder over 170 people from participating. The community support is what makes this event a success. MMI is a non-profit organization that provides jobs and training to people with barriers to employment throughout eight mid-Michigan counties.
