Alan J. Schilling, President of MMI, is pleased to announce that MMI has promoted from within two staff to fill new supervisory positions. Heather Brown has been named, Community Employment Supervisor for Gratiot County while Beth Kruskamp has been named the Supervisor of Youth Development.
Heather Brown has been with MMI for the past 21 years and has served in several capacities during her tenure. Heather was promoted because to her many years of experience working for MMI as well as her dedication to the people that MMI serves. She is now responsible for all MMI Community Employment operations in Gratiot County.
Beth Kruskamp, who has been with MMI for the past 8 years, has been promoted to the position of, Youth Development Supervisor. MMI is the provider of Youth Services through a Michigan Works!, WIA In-School Youth Grant funded by The Region 7B Consortium for Clare, Gladwin, Arenac, and Iosco Counties. Beth who has served for the past 6 years as the Clare Youth Development Specialist will continue to be the primary contact for Clare County along with her new responsibilities of overseeing all MMI Youth Service operations.
Founded in 1973, MMI has been a member of the community for over 34 years. MMI provides employment and training services for individuals with barriers to employment in Clare, Gladwin, Arenac, Iosco, Isabella, Gratiot, and Montcalm counties. MMI is a private, not-for-profit organization and is a United Way agency.
