MMI's Employee of the Month for September

MMI's Employee of the Month for September is Joyce Reihl. Joyce is the MMI Compliance Monitor and has been with the company since March 2003. In this position, Joyce is responsible for reviewing and providing feedback to the Work First Case Managers and the Michigan Works! Management Team. Joyce was instrumental in the development of MMI's internal monitoring guide and is responsible for pinpointing strengths and identifying weaknesses in our program that enable us to respond quickly and make needed improvements. Joyce's comprehensive approach, her attention to detail and her extensive knowledge of rules and regulations is critical to the Michigan Works! Team.
Joyce willingly travels to MMI's three Work First service areas to gather necessary documentation and is does whatever is needed to get the job done. Joyce has the complex job of identifying areas of concern and reporting ‘findings' in the MMI Work First program. While this is not an easy task, it is crucial to ensuring that MMI is addressing issues and following Federal, State and Local rules and regulations. MMI's last two programs monitorings from the Funding Source, Central Area Michigan Works Consortium, have resulted in ‘no findings', which Joyce plays an essential role
