What are full-time employees eligible for at MMI?

· We offer up to three weeks of Vacation/Sick time right in that first year of employment. You’re eligible to use it after 90 days, but you begin accruing on day 1!

What will you do at MMI?

As a Community Coach providing CLS (Community Living Support) services, you are responsible for assisting assigned persons served in maintaining independent living. What does this look like? You arrive at the person's home ready to assist them with achieving their goals. Some goals they may have include maintaining a budget, cleaning their home, meal planning for the week or setting up appointments. You offer opportunities for growth with these individuals and learn more about their goals to provide the best possible services.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Are you looking for a unique opportunity to help build a successful ABA center in Central Michigan?

Connections Autism and MMI are committed to creating inclusive communities and meaningful connections through employment and training. With this mission, we are looking for an individual with experience to help build and continue to develop our ABA program. The BCBA is responsible for providing oversight for the participants who receive ABA services.

BCBA at glance:

  • Oversee and support ABA programs, including assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing program updates based on data and family feedback.

  • Train, supervise, and evaluate staff and family members on program implementation, data collection, and best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with recipient rights, confidentiality, safety standards, and agency/state regulations.

  • Monitor program quality by reviewing data, outcomes, and performance, while promoting continuous improvement.

  • Manage administrative duties including staff performance reviews, scheduling, attendance, billing, and documentation.

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and financial oversight to support program stability.

  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with families, staff, and community partners.

  • Promote organizational mission, share best practices, and engage in professional development opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have current certification as a BCBA through the BACB. Must have a current license with the State of Michigan to be eligible to apply. Minimum one year experience as a BCBA. Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field. Strong knowledge of behavior analytic therapies and experience in delivering these services. Ability to effectively train and supervise Behavior Technicians. Must have excellent writing and communication skills and be highly organized with the ability to multi-task.

Skills Required: Must be able to communicate effectively with management, staff, persons receiving service and other customers. Excellent organizational and analytical skills are essential. Presenting oneself in a professional demeanor to all customers both internally and externally is needed along with computer literacy which includes the use of the Microsoft Office Suite. Must possess the ability to represent the agency in a positive manner while collaborating with community partners and creating new opportunities for inclusion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Five years of experience in the development and implementation of person-centered treatment plans directly related to autism services. Ability to ensure appropriate documentation is generated to support the ongoing need for the services as well as reimbursement for the services provided. Certification in relevant Department of Community Health training modules, including Recipient Rights and First Aid/CPR.

Location: Clare with frequent travel and hours in our Mt Pleasant location.

Behavior Technician

Connections Autism Services by MMI is seeking Behavior Technicians in our clinical setting as well as in client homes. We provide Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy for children, adolescents, and teens with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to increase communication, socialization, life skills and play skills. We currently provide all paid necessary training, with the potential to build a long-term and rewarding career. We are looking for fun and energetic individuals to work part-time for about 20 hours after training. Position has potential for additional hours including full-time.

As a Behavior Technician through Connections Autism Services, you will:

  • Gain Training and skills to strengthen a career in behavior analysis.

  • Become eligible to earn your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.

  • Make a positive change for children, teens, and their families.

Requirements:

  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred but will train.

  • Strong people skills to build professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members.

  • Must pass a background check to be legally able to deliver Medicaid services.

  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Physical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments. You may be asked to engage in any of the following: push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs. It is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
